Decorative flake floors in Portland metro.
Compare light, warm, and graphite finishes for a garage that feels considered.

Choose the look in the actual light
Flake blends combine chips in different colors and sizes. Light grays can make a garage feel brighter, warm neutrals can work with wood cabinetry, and darker blends can define a workshop. Bring a physical sample into your garage and view it with the door both open and closed.
Discuss coverage and traction
Ask whether the quote specifies a full or partial broadcast and how the surface will be finished. Texture is influenced by the system and topcoat; a flake finish is not a guarantee against slipping. Discuss wet shoes, pets, mobility needs, and cleaning before choosing the texture.
Make the edges part of the design
Door thresholds, steps, vertical stem walls, floor drains, and transitions affect the finished result. Confirm what is included. If the existing slab has movement joints, request the installer’s plan for those joints rather than assuming they will disappear under the finish.
Texture. Color. Everyday practicality.
Use the planning tools to build a project brief. Final products, suitability, price, and installation arrangements must be confirmed with an installer.
